No one wants to find out that they have fallen victim to a cyber attack or any type of technical scam. At The IT Company, we value the opportunity to go out into the community and have discussions that alert people about evolving and reoccurring information on these topics. While there is no “take these 5 steps to never face a technical scam” guide or guarantee, being informed about topics and being given resources to talk to about them, is protection in itself. This is one of the reasons we so highly value speaking at and hosting events in which we can share our technical expertise.
If you follow us on social media or have been keeping up with our blog, you know that we recently have been a part of two events with important technical conversations. We will keep this blog brief! But after seeing how vital the information shared at these two events was to our audiences, we wanted to follow up on the events and provide access to downloadable information from both.
Our Cyber Threats in Healthcare Lunch and Learn was a success! We joined a panel of several cyber security and healthcare experts and provided discussion about the top cyber threats facing the healthcare industry. One of our partners for the event, Ackermann Marketing & PR, put together a white paper regarding the conversation of the event. The information found in this is critical to know, especially for those with businesses in healthcare!
At the Knoxville Bar Association’s Corporate Ethics and Updates event, The IT Company’s vCIO, Cody Crowell, led the audience through a discussion on Cyber Defense Panning and Disaster recovery. Cody also provided the audience with a handout of step by step planning to help think through the steps of cyber defense planning as well as if they have a plan in place for disaster recovery. This CIS Control Readiness Checklist is something that we feel can be extremely beneficial to all businesses.
Were you unable to attend these events? Do you want to read more information on these topics? Because these topics are so important to your safety, The IT Company wants to help you take action! We have made both the Cyber Threats in Healthcare white paper, and the CIS Control Readiness Checklist available for download. Click below for a free download of both.
